A WiFi QR code encodes your network name and password in the exact format phones understand. Stick it on the table or the front desk and guests connect in seconds — your staff never has to recite the password again.
How to create WiFi QR code
-
1
Enter the network name (SSID)
Type the WiFi name exactly, including capitalisation.
-
2
Pick the security type and password
Most modern routers use WPA/WPA2. Enter the WiFi password in the matching field.
-
3
Print and display it
Download the code, print it and put it where guests will see it — table tents or the checkout counter work well.
Frequently asked questions
- Do WiFi QR codes work on iPhone?
- Yes. iOS 11 and later reads WiFi QR codes with the default camera app and shows a join-network prompt. Android has supported this since version 10.
- Is my WiFi password exposed by printing the code?
- The password is encoded in the image and cannot be read by eye. That said, anyone who scans it can connect, so only display the code where you are happy to grant access.
- Can I create a code for a hidden network?
- Yes. Tick the hidden-network option so the phone knows it has to search for the network name itself.
